The GOAT is making moves — here's everything you need to know
The PPA Tour Asia rolled into Shenzhen this week for one of the season's marquee stops, and our players made sure JOOLA was all over the podium. Three golds, a historic first for Vietnamese pickleball, and six quarterfinal runs made it one of the best weeks we've had on tour this season. Here's the full recap. Collin Johns & Len Yang Take Men's Doubles Gold Collin Johns and Len Yang capped their run in Shenzhen with a straight-games win over Jack Wong and Eungwon Kim, 11-7, 11-8, to claim the Me
If you’re at all familiar with professional pickleball, names like Ben Johns, Anna Bright, Tyson McGuffin, and Kate Fahey likely ring a bell. They’re elite athletes, JOOLA signature pros, and proven winners. But what about a name you may not know as well — someone just as accomplished, just as dominant, and a JOOLA athlete? Meet Josh Cooperman, PPA Senior Tour singles No. 1, a Triple Crown winner, and the current top-ranked player in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. His rise to one of the se

The world's game has a special way of bringing out the fan in all of us, and the 2026 World Cup is no exception. The tournament kicks off today, and the JOOLA roster has officially caught the fever. Well, almost all of them. With a couple of notable exceptions — we're looking at you, Ben Johns and Len Yang — our athletes are locked in on the beautiful game. And honestly, we respect the dedication. But for everyone else on the roster, the paddles are down and the flags are up. We reached out to o
Eric White, or E-White to those who know him, is as important to the JOOLA story as anyone. He's the guy who connected Richard Lee with Ben Johns, and we all know how that story goes. More importantly, Eric White is an ambassador for the JOOLA brand, on the front lines teaching aspiring pros and athletes transitioning from other sports. His legend is epic, "And on top of that, he was wearing Crocs. Crocs with socks on, not even tennis shoes. And he was all over the court like a maniac," said MLB
2026 PPA Tour Finals recap: Ben Johns, Anna Leigh Waters complete near perfect spring seasons The Kitchen Pickleball
Adam is a table tennis player who makes fun videos. Recently did a couple with Anna Bright.
I am a new but relatively advanced player, since I played other racquet sports a lot since 6 year-olds. I saw that new paddles keep coming out every year with high price tags. So what are the differences between let's say, the new Joola Ben John Hyperion IV 16mm vs the 4 year-old model joola Ben Johns hyperion cfs 16 ?
Do you think there will be another male triple crown winner? It has been over a year since Ben Johns did it, not exactly sure when. Is there a male that could win singles, mens doubles and mixed in a weekend anymore?
Thought I would share my experience with Joola warranty on a Ben Johns Perseus Paddle. Facts: 1) Bought as a backup and not use for almost a year as was using different brand. 2) Broke at junction of face and handle <10x play https://preview.redd.it/10ebxpf041rg1.jpg?width=4590&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a37eb4cb7fe1ad461307189e1a0a98c4a347a8d3 https://preview.redd.it/wimrjmf041rg1.jpg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e136f84411908138f3b7bf7b124ae2afeff98d02 3) Fi...
Southern Pickleball Championship returns to Johnson City for third year WJHL
For the past few tournaments, Todd, former tennis player converted pro pickleball player have made it to the finals consecutively recently with two different partnership, Rohrabacher and Truong. The women's doubles team have been dominated in the past obviously by Leigh and Parenteau, and now dominated by Waters and Bright. The force that rivals or constantly challenge them is always different though. Previously, Rohrabacher and Bright before the Anna's, and currently Tyra and Johnso...
Southern Pickleball Championship returns to Johnson City for third year WJHL
Google and his PPA profile have him listed at 6'1 but looking at him next to Gabe has him appearing 3 to 4 inches shorter so I just don't believe he's 6'1. Anyone met him to confirm?
10 Proven Ben Johns Strategies You Can Steal Right Now The Dink Pickleball
The GOAT doesn't need to hit harder or faster than everyone else. He just makes better decisions, executes them more consistently, and never gives his opponents an easy point.
Featuring jaw-dropping shots from Gabe Tardio, Anna Leigh Waters, Chris Haworth, Ben Johns, and Daniel Miron.
In believe most players use continental at nbz line. But has anyone tried semi eastern grip for both 1hbh slice and fh roll at nvz? I believe this is what Ben Johns uses based on the video below [https://youtu.be/gI7F8EzqX8s?si=1\_YT6xrCMjcLsOva](https://youtu.be/gI7F8EzqX8s?si=1_YT6xrCMjcLsOva)
Hi ladies or anyone who knows. Does anyone know what brand of SPF/UV leggings Ben John’s wears? Do they make any for women or are they unisex? They look super thin, almost like pantyhose for lack of better words. I usually play in short shorts, so I’m not looking for a full regular leggings (can’t stand those) but more like something lightweight that I could wear on my legs for sun protection.
Hey everyone! We are excited to announce our next ama with a Selkirk sponsored pro, Rafa Lenhard! Hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada, Rafael Lenhard played collegiate tennis at Cal Poly before transitioning to pickleball. In June 2025, he had an impressive run at the San Clemente PPA, defeating Zane Navratil, Noe Khlif, and Ben Johns. Please join us on Thursday, 3/19 at 6pm eastern to ask him any burning questions that come to mind!
They look so off since franklin drop them? or when they signed with that eyewear brand? Jdub is in fact one of my favorite players and i want him competing back in the finals. Also want that Jorja freaking Johnson on championship sundays again 🥲🥲🥲
With two upsets back-to-back for Jorja and Tyra, is this a sign of the players growing past the two, or does it mean Jorja and Tyra refuse to evolve? With a new season it seems like every top-tier teams can't rely simply on finesse anymore to beat the best of best. It may work once per tournament, but humans adapt, and top tier athletes? They do one hell of a good job doing it. Consistency makes you great. Who has fallen down so rarely due to their consistency? Ben Johns and Anna Leigh. ...
1. Big H 2. ALW 3. Gabe / AB 4. Ben Johns 5. Quang Duong / Alshon / J. Munro Honorable Mention: Jack Sock, Tyra, Alyce Jones, Collin Johns, Rachel R., Will Howells
Crazy rally between Jorja Johnson / Tyra Black and Parris Todd / Rachel Rohrabacher from the PPA Newport semifinals. The resets and defense in women’s pro doubles are unreal!
If only I could read what he was selling
The tournament, part of the PPA Asia 1000 series, will take place April 1–5 at the My Dinh Indoor Athletics Arena. Waters is scheduled to compete in women’s doubles alongside Anna Bright and in mixed doubles with Ben Johns.
Whether you're a beginner or an intermediate player, the principle is the same: small, intentional changes can have a huge impact on your performance. Ben Johns just proved it.
Ben Johns Just Changed His Pickleball Serve — Maybe You Should Too The Dink Pickleball
Any one know what shoes Ben Johns is wearing these days? He used to wear Babolat Jet Mach 3 but it looks like he recently started wearing a different brand…?
I watch this guy and I think how is he number 1? Serve, not bad but not a weapon. Overheads seem to be highly conservative. Drives are good but not stronger than others I've seen. The only attribute He seems to be the best at are ATPS which is a non factor in almost every game. No disrespect somethings obviously working for him.
I believe when people say cock your wrist it can mean either cock your wrist back (think of the wrist position during a push up) or cock your wrist up ( toward thumb direction). Which way is correct or you do both Back and up? here is an example of cocking wrist up by Ben Johns (starting at 48s): [https://youtu.be/86qHTDv70DE?si=uf44ajtCEPJg3Wh0](https://youtu.be/86qHTDv70DE?si=uf44ajtCEPJg3Wh0)
Saw a promotional poster for the Joola Pro V at the facility I play at, and it shows Ben Johns wearing an unreleased Joola pickleball shoes.
Can anyone confirm if these paddles are the same other than the color? The specifications look identical. [Blade Red (Ben Johns)](https://joola.com/collections/pro-v/products/joola-perseus-pro-v-pickleball-paddle-1?variant=47784217346262) [Breeze Blue (Simone Jardim)](https://joola.com/collections/pro-v/products/joola-perseus-pro-v-pickleball-paddle-1?variant=47784670888150)
Anyone a fan or widebody paddles? I'm dipping my toe in with an older Scorpeus Collin Johns CFS 16mm. It's $149 on Amazon currently. Felt kind of dumb after because the Friday one is $99. I was wondering what the most popular wide body out there people are playing with.
Not asking for what paddle to buy. Just curious what everyone is using. what modifications did you do. i'm personally rocking the joola astraeus MXVI. i really like the feel of the full lumen ferrofiber core and compared to the bioxeno-mycelioid hybrid paddles of 3025 it isn't subject to the same ensoulment / sophont-parasitoid safety issues (RIP to Ben-Johns-Clone-Z729!!! Still my goat!!). i put a little extra weight in the 5th and 13th hyper-dimensions to increase the manifold sweet spot si...
GO.ALL.OUT. pickleball returns to Johnson City WJHL
Really insightful interview. Great to hear from the GOAT about the new Pro V, his thoughts on paddle feel, current paddle standards, and what's next. Cool to hear about how they developed the Pro V with Ben's input and testing multiple prototypes.
With 20 million U.S. players, pickleball is clearly "cool." Johnson City Press
I just watched the Ben vs Fed matchup at the Mesa Cup and that's the most entertaining, exciting match I've watched in a long time. Seeing multi-dimensional points with drives, drops, cat & mouse, etc. was so much more exciting than watching two dudes ripping base line shots back and forth ad nauseum. I don't want Pickleball to become "mini tennis", which is what a lot of top level play has looked like recently - it's boring as hell. It doesn't help that everything in pickleball marketing n...
Don’t you guys think that ever since Ben Johns started playing with his new Perseus 5 paddle, he’s been popping the ball up way more often and hitting it out? Is it the paddle? Maybe it’s got more pop/power but less control for his style? Or is it just a small adjustment period, or even something else like conditions/balls?
